Chicago Miniature and CML-IT) * Unused, surplus parts - you save! * Probably military or aerospace surplus. * Made by IDI, which was purchased by Chicago Miniature Lamp, which renamed itself CML-IT. Accordingly, these LED's are new old stock (NOS). * Appears to be virtually identical to CML-IT's current 5300 series LED assembly. See this web site for the 5300 series datasheet: http://www.cml-it.com/pdf/1-129.pdf. * Digi-key has nice specifications sheets for the 5300 series LEDs. Check out a representative example at: http://catalog.digikey.com/scripts/partsearch.dll?Detail?name=L20017-ND * Anode is marked with a "+" on the nylon housing for easy identification. * Great for PC board and prototyping board use. Experiment away! * Dimensions: See datasheet. * Output Brightness: Unknown. During tests, these seem to give a "standard" brightness (more than bright enough to serve as hobby or indicator lights). Based on the datasheet, the brightness (intensity) obtainable is probably in the range of 6.3 to 10 mcd when using typical voltages. * Satisfaction guaranteed.
