Jackson Electrical Instrument Company This instrument comes in an 8.5” x 9” x 4.25” carrying case with leather carrying strap, rubber feet on two sides, a metal buckle, and an hinged cover. The hinge is the type that allows the cover to be completely removed by sliding it upward. Inside the cover are the unit’s operating instructions. The unit fits securely in the case and can be used without removing it, or it can be removed. The unit measures about 3” x 5.5” x 8”, the dial is about 3” across. The controls include a three position AC-DC-OHMS switch; an Ohms Adjust; and a Range Selector. The Range Selector ranges include: MILLS D.C ONLY 3., 15, 150, 300, 1500 VOLTS A.C. & D.C. 3., 15, 30, 150, 300 The + and – Range Jacks accommodate the 54” long red and black test prods which can remain plugged in when the unit is inside the carrying case. There is a storage area provided for these cords. The ohms ranges are powered from a 3.0 volt battery Burgess No. B2BP or equal.
