Details: This is a Universal Enterprises model M20 Multitester. It comes with owner's manual.
Condition: It looks in very good used condition.
James Young entered duty February 1942. Assigned 504th, 507th, 187th RCT, Anzio D-Day, France, Holland, Seoul, Korea. Resigned September 1964 as Colonel.
Awarded Pilot Wings, Distinguished Service Metal, MTO/ETO w/Arrowhead and four Battle Stars, Jump Wings w/3 Stars, Combat Badge, Purple Heart w/OLC; Silver and Bronze Stars each w/OLC; France, Holland Korea Award, Presidential Unit Citation and 19th Distinguished Member of the Regiment.
Met GEN Kermit Roosevelt, son of Teddy Roosevelt, at Regency Hotel, London; WWII buddies he'll never forget, SGT Wong and LT Files, rescued him after ha was wounded (both were later KIA in Holland); landing in France near Merderet River, Odette, a 17-year old French underground girl directed them to safety from German patrol. A few hours later, he found GEN Gavin, who overshot the DZ. Assigned with GEN Gavin when the general was appointed ambassador to France by President Eisenhower.
James went on to receive his BS from Brown University and master's from California Tech.
He and his life partner of 25 years Beverly Lynn have traveled the world together.
